Empowering Canadians with Open Data
We are a national collective of open data supporters who strive to promote and support relevant initiatives across the country. This can range from working directly on creating content for digital literacy to driving events like our webinars.
We are also the organization that works with partners to hold our Canadian Open Data Summits, where hundreds of open data and open government stakeholders meet to learn and collaborate on various initiatives.

Once again we are calling on our community to tell us of the best projects and brightest minds in the field of open data! Eight categories are available: Accessibility, Democracy, Impact, Innovation, Quality, Rising Star, Excellence, and Leader of the Year. Simply get the nominee's permission and send us 500 words making the case for them, and our jury of peers in the field of open data will assess them against the categories!
Rest assured, this is an important element in the life of our community of practice. Your nominations afford valuable recognition to our best and brightest, gain public attention for our community as a whole, and serve as an impetus to further progress.
